GENERAL INFORMATION ON GREAT BRAK RIVER
Enjoy a relaxing visit to the unspoilt beach of Great
Brak River, Situated alongside the N2 – halfway between
Mossel Bay & George. This is the ideal destination to
escape to at any time during the year – it is peaceful,
romantic and offers a mild climate.
Great Brak hosts various sporting activities including
tennis, squash, bowls golfing, and cycling. The Island is
situated near the mouth at the southern end of the estuary.
Great Brak Island is connected to the eastern shore of the
Great Brak River only by a single lane steel bridge. Many
holiday homes of timber frame structure are situated in or
around the Estuary.
