GENERAL INFORMATION ON WILDERNESS
Wilderness not only overlooks the sea, but also the
placid lagoon - Touw River
Estuary (the Serpentine), which meanders between the
Touw River, Island Lake and Rondevlei. Nestling within
the boundaries of Wilderness, you’ll find the 2500 ha
Wilderness National Park.

Five rivers and five lakes,
two estuaries and 18 km of Southern Cape coastline are
protected within the Park. This rare and sensitive
eco-system is home to a wealth of water birds.
Surrounded by many rivers, natural lakes and lagoons,
Wilderness offers the ideal venue for water sports.
